Miette: Recipes from San Francisco's Most Charming Pastry Shop

The saga continues: Everyone makes mistakes. I do, most of us have. But when I lay out $27.50 for a book to instruct me on baking, I expect it to provide precise and accurate information. The publisher, Chronicle Books, has posted a errata on their website. They have said that a second edition, third printing, reflecting corrections will be released soon. If you own a copy of the first edition and would prefer to bake from a revised copy without referring to an errata, send the publisher an email and they will offer to replace it. Kudos to Chronicle Books for doing the right thing!

January 2012- Follow-up to my initial comment. Chronicle Books has corrected the 1st printing errors with the release of the 3rd printing of this book. And they have delivered on their offer to replace the 1st printing copy at no charge. So, anyone still holding out on adding this fine book to your collection, may now proceed and enjoy. Happy Baking!
