I am just getting started with this book. Based on the general consensis, I will enjoy it very much.
I cook a lot of indian cuisine and up to now this is one of my two favorite indian cooking book.
This one is vegetarian an really authentic with a lot of explanation about the ingredients and how to substitute something a bit too "indian" to be found in the west.

This book has been great. Everything I have made from it has been delicious. That being said, I'm planning on cooking more Indian food in January and February and was going to cook from Madhur Jaffrey's World-of-the-East Vegetarian Cooking, which is new to me and I haven't made anything from it yet. It's not solely Indian as it has other cuisines included but I want to try the Indian food from that classic book.
This is a great cookbook and also a beautiful one with all the pictures. Most of the recipe I made were really good. A great book if you like lamb. It is a bit more accessible then the previous one.
Indian food is so good and cooked at home it is much less fat and rich...
This must have been one of my first cookbooks. Utterly simple.
