Sometimes, like right now, there is an error that won't allow you to "like" a recipe or add a note. If you go to the cookbook's page you can usually get around that.

You have to click on the title of the recipe , it will expand and you can add your review. Or just start typing a name in the section at the very top of the page below the book cover and it will automatically pop up if the recipe has been reviewed by someone else. I am not sure if this is what you were asking.
