Maggies Harvest includes Maggies story (she started cooking the pheasants that she and her husband were growing to help in selling them and ended up with one of the most famous restaurants of its time and place ) and the book is very much about the food and seasons of her beloved Barossa (home of what is best in Australian red wine) . I always feel like having a long Sunday lunch when I browse this book.
It is set out by seasons which is nice - but has a good index for when you are not sure about seasons. Maggie...

I would back up these posts - its a great 'inspiration' book, especially as it is set out by 'flavours'. Don't have any other DH books - lets face it - they are everywhere after all . She has a great story - good on her; however I still want to come back as Nigella Lawson.
I've used the elements of this to do an even quicker version - butterflied chicken, moderate oven, in a shallow covered casserole. What a winner.
