As a vegetarian (eat eggs and milk products) I can overdo the oils and butter sometimes, so I bought Appetite for Reduction to have some lower fat yet tasty recipes. I LOVE the Broccoli-Potato Soup with Fresh Herbs in Moskowitz' Veganomicon, so I was hoping for good soup recipes in Appetite for Reduction. I like the way Moskowitz uses herbs and spices and other ingredients to develop a very unique and tasty dish. Well, Yam & Black Bean Soup with Orange & Cilantro is to die for! Butternut-Apple Soup is great too. I'm going to try the Pasta Con Broccoli next - it looks like a winner too. So if I don't use too much fat (like in these recipes), I can still have my fried egg (in butter) with my no-knead bread (with butter) for breakfast every morning and not worry about it anymore!
I adore the salad recipes in this book! salads can be boring but Ms Moskowitz manages to make them sing! really tasty. am looking forward to trying more recipes in this book.
EDIT: the more i cook from this book, the more i love it! Tasty, quick, delicious, healthy food! this is my favorite book from isa
