I've had this book for a pretty long time and have made as many recipes out it as I have any book I think. Its my goto book for a quick recipe reference on a lot of stuff, like corn bread, soups, tabouli (my first tabouli), hummus, moussaka (although I add some meat too), flatbreads, etc. My favorite so far though has been the Hungarian mushroom soup. Try it, follow it closely first. Just titilating.
This book gives me the warm fuzzies. I haven't looked at in in quite a while, but seeing the few recipes listed here, I can see it's been far too long. I'm heading back into my past, back to Moosewood where everything vegetarian begins (as far as I'm concerned). And everything Moosewood starts with this classic cookbook.
This was one of my first vegetarian cookbooks and I've worked my way through most of it.
