Okay, I think I just wrote all this in the wrong place, but I'll give it another go. I discovered this litle book while killing time hunkered down at the Madison Square Garden Borders waiting for a bus. It's a terrific primer for anyone wanting to delve more deeply into a plant-based diet. The recipes are fun and simple (think students in dorm rooms or sparsely outfitted apartment kitchens) but inventive as well. I taught a cooking class last week where we made this Indonesian Tempeh Stew and the class was amazed at the complex flavors and textures - and more astonished that they had tried tempeh and loved it! I have 6-year old twins; my son is a budding vegan and eats just about everything I put in front of him; my daughter is more "particular" so I consider her my litmus test for new recipes. She loves this one over brown rice. Ya just gotta try it.
