I really love this book. Greg Malouf is a chef in Melbourne who has written several books concerning cuisines from the Middle East. Turquoise focuses on Turkish food and his travels through Turkey. I love his modern approach to traditional flavours and ingredients. As a vegetarian, there are so many options in this book and I can honestly say that everything from this book that I have cooked, I have enjoyed. The stunning photography in this book is such a strong part of this book too - it makes me want to get on a plane straight away!!

This is another one of those cookbooks that I love to pull out and read. I learned just as much about Turkey from this book as I did from a guidebook. It is well-researched and interesting to read.
The recipes are tasty and easy to follow. One of my favorite lunches from it is the Lamb Kebab with Caick.
That recipe you mentioned, Green Olive, Walnut and Pomegranate Salad sounds DELICIOUS. I can picture the colors, too--the bright pomegranate seeds against the green and brown of the olives and walnuts. I think I will be adding this to my library at home :-)
This is a beautiful book, full of gorgeous photo's wonderful stories and delicious recipes! Far too good to be picking up grease stains in the kitchen, it really belongs on the coffee table.
