I have only recently purchased this book so I am yet to cook anything from it, but I had to have it! Ana Sortun was recently a guest presenter at the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival and while I didn't see her session, the energy radiating from the people that did was palpable.....she really connected with the group she presented to and there was such a buzz about her. I was able to meet her at the Festival and she seems a very grounded person of very generous spirit. I love Middle Eastern flavours and can see that there will be many things that I will be making. I am also impressed that she grows all her own vegetables for her restaurant. Has anyone used this book or been to her restaurant, Oleana?
Because I haven't cooked from the book yet, I have not yet given it a rating, so please don't interpret no stars as no like!

I worked at Oleana for a very brief time, in the front of house, and really adored everything Ana touched. She was very precious/careful and tough at the same time, and we all delighted in her food. It was such a pleasure dealing with customers at that restaurant, each one was felt so lucky to have dined there. I love the book, make that whipped feta asap, it's the most desired little plate on the menu.
I haven't cook from that book yet but it is definitely missing an index with all the recipes.
