Not just a collection of recipes, this book actually teaches you how to grill. The first section covers the basics of lighting and maintaining your fire. The rest of the book is broken down by protein type and technique. Each recipe is accompanied by step-by-step photos. He also provides recipe variations and suggestions of other interesting ways to use the basic recipe and technique.
While this is a great book for inexperienced grillers, there are still challenging and adventurous recipes for everyone else. If you don't care to grill meat or fish, he provides about ninety pages of recipes for grilling vegetables, quesadillas, pizzas, tofu and desserts.
We loved this book to death - entire sections are falling out. I hope the publisher improved the binding in subsequent printings.
